Multifaceted musician Sawan Dutta is based in Mumbai, India. Her work as music director, Bollywood composer, music producer and singer-songwriter spans a formidable range covering some of the biggest Indian and global brands in the field of entertainment.
Chai Pani Etc was selected for film festivals in the USA, Canada, Europe and won the special jury award at the International Independent Film Festival at Brussels in 2008.

Sawan has created the first ever series of country-specific adaptations of the iconic Who Wants To Be a Millionaire theme for Indian TV. Albums produced by her feature international sarod maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Amaan Ali Khan and Ayaan Ali Khan, the works of the legendary poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz and several upcoming indie artistes in a multi-city underground series. Her solo album Lady Chatterjee made it to the Limca Book of Records for introducing India's first 3D animated video star.

Her unconventional and dramatic soundtracks for theatrical shows such as Dadi Pudumjee's "Transpositions" have won the Mahindra Best Soundtrack in Theatre award and critical acclaim across India, USA and Canada. On "Panchatatva" in New Delhi, she brilliantly combines the power of Daler Mehndi's shabad singing, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan's virtuoso sarod playing and Om Puri's dramatic narration for an intelligent artistic installation that now forms a permanent backdrop to India's capital , New Delhi.
