WHAT'S NEW / LATEST RELEASES :

"O HOLY NIGHT/ cantique de noel"

My friend Elizabeth Zopari taught me the Cantique de Noel many years ago, and we'd sing it in various dimly lit stairwells during coffee breaks! Here we're both singing it again after years, for Christmas 2015, for our friend Giti, who also conducted the secular choir that we both sang in, and who left India for her new home in Iceland, after Christmas 2015.

"VANDE MATARAM"

This version of Vande Mataram, by International Sarod Maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan Sahen and his sons, Amaan and Ayaan Ali Khan, was adapted from the Vande Mataram track in the album "Remembering Mahatma Gandhi" released by Saragama. I've arranged and produced all the tracks on this album, including this Vande Mataram, which was released on the occasion of India's Independence Day, 2015 and phenomenally well received.

"I was on my way to meet friends at the Kipling Bar at Palladium. I entered the hotel and was instantly blown away by the beautiful piped music playing. Which turned out to be not piped music at all, but a live solo clarinet player performing in the lobby! I had no idea who he was. I took down his number, and over the next few weeks and many messages, introduced myself, learnt that his name was Gilad Mizrahi and that he's a clarinetist/guitarist/ singer-songwriter from the UK, and I managed to convince him to come over to my studio and play on this song that I'd started working on some time back and abandoned, which I now turned into a Vocal - Clarinet duet, from a solo vocal. And this is how "The Song I Don't Know How to Sing" came about. CB shot the performances during the recording.  I edited the video keeping the song dynamics in mind. "

"Kill With A Clarinet", the smooth jazz clarinet - piano version begins where The "Song I Don't Know How to Sing" ends. This easy listening instrumental version takes over from the lyrics, keeping the intense mood of the song alive , letting the music, the melody, the improvisation take over and convey things beyond the spoken word...

GODDESS IN THE HOUSE

" ya devi "

An ancient Indian Mother Goddess Chant, pulsating House beats, swirling textures, lush polyphonic harmonies laced with the darkness of Raga Madhuwanti. Here's taking a new look at the powerful Chandi Path / Devi Mantra " Ya Devi Sarvabhuteshi " this Puja season, with a sound that transcends religion and binds together the ethereal harmonies of timeless sacred choral music, the dark brooding notes of an Indian classical raga and the raw primal energy of EDM and House music.
