THE HT BRUNCH SONG

Sometime ago Ananya Ghosh, Assistant Editor of HT Brunch (the widely read and hugely popular Sunday Magazine from The Hindustan Times) came over to my studio to interview me about The Metronome and my musical journey. At the end of an extended and thoroughly enjoyable session over many coffees in my studio kitchen, she asked me if I'd sing out a couple of lines for HT Brunch, that they could feature in the digital version of the interview. I said I'd give it a thought. The next day, a Sunday, as I sat reading the morning edition of Brunch, it came to me that maybe I'd enjoy doing a short song about this magazine which has been such an integral part of my Sundays since forever.

The shoot for the interview was a whole lot of fun as well, since it featured, along with me, the massively popular icons Lola Kutty and Pammi Aunty, both of whom I hugely admire. We had a crazy morning shoot with photographer Shivangi Kulkarni at The Sassy Spoon in Bandra.

 

And then, the biggest surprise of all was when I was told that this was going to be THE COVER STORY!!! So we were on the cover of HT Brunch this last Sunday - the 19th of April! And this song went online as a teaser for the story on their digital portal!
