Butter Chicken has to be one of the most popular chicken curries from the Indian subcontinent! Growing up as a Delhi girl, I've grown to love this Punjabi chicken curry in its rich creamy tomato based gravy.

Hang the curd, let it thicken

With some salt, chilly, lemon rub the chicken

Ginger garlic paste, one one spoon

Haldi, salt, oil daalo soon

Garam masala, the marinade looks right

Coat the chicken keep in frig overnight

​

Cook in oven or tandoor, but like me if you're poor

And have neither, just use a frying pan

In hot butter you should fry all the chicken by and by

Fry until golden brown if you can

​

Heat more butter, and saute on stove

Cinnamon, cardamom, pepper and clove

Ginger garlic paste add and stir

Tomato puree, chilly, salt and water

Bring to boil, lower heat, let it simmer

Add kasuri methi, and some sugar

Add the chicken, simmer, add fresh cream

You have the butter chicken of your dream!

Half potion or whole, come and fill up your bowl

Let it warm up your soul instantly

For your lunch or dinner, its a winner, winner, winner
